What Do the Different Task Statuses Mean?
Tasks move through different statuses as they progress from creation to completion. Understanding these statuses is key to tracking your work.
Default Statuses
- To-Do: The task has been created but has not yet been started. This is the default status for all new tasks.
- In Progress: Work has begun on the task. Someone has actively started to address it.
- On Hold: The task is blocked or paused for some reason. This is useful for indicating that no progress can be made at the moment.
- Done: The task has been successfully completed.
Custom Statuses (Business Plan)
If you are on our Business plan or higher, you can create custom statuses to perfectly match your team's workflow. For example, you might add statuses like 'In Review', 'Awaiting Approval', or 'Deployed'. You can manage these in your Project Settings.
